In Security Brief Vol.2, published in December 2025, Delta Force describes DMA Shield as enhanced hardware DMA protection built on Windows Kernel DMA Protection to reduce unauthorized memory access by external devices. Respond safely to a DMA Shield status message
The official status article says some players may see a message that DMA Shield is not enabled or has not yet been applied. Preserve the exact wording, client and Windows versions, processor, and complete motherboard model before consulting the same official article and the hardware manufacturer's documentation.
Firmware interfaces vary, and an incorrect change can cause boot, encryption-recovery, or device problems. Players unfamiliar with UEFI should contact the system or motherboard vendor or a qualified professional. Do not turn off Secure Boot, TPM, IOMMU, or Windows protections to address a game message.
